much you&#8217;re worth in every province in South Africa"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A new report provides a snapshot of the wealthiest and poorest provinces in South Africa.<\/p>\n<p>According to The South African Institute of Race Relations (IRR), the three biggest provincial economies &#8211; Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, and the Western Cape &#8211; account for 55.2% of South Africa\u2019s population but contribute 64.1% to South Africa\u2019s gross domestic product (GDP).<\/p>\n<p>Some 50.6% of taxpayers are registered in just two provinces \u2013 Gauteng and the Western Cape, the IRR said.<\/p>\n<p>The institute presents the nine provinces comparatively through more than a hundred indicators spanning across demographics, the economy, education, health and social security, general living conditions, politics and government, and crime and security.<\/p>\n<p>BusinessTech ranks the country&#8217;s nine provinces based on GDP per head.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"my-4\">Gauteng<\/h3>\n<div
