{"id":124943,"date":"2016-05-27T11:04:16","date_gmt":"2016-05-27T09:04:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=124943"},"modified":"2016-05-27T11:04:16","modified_gmt":"2016-05-27T09:04:16","slug":"this-is-how-fnbs-ebucks-rewards-will-change-from-july","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/banking\/124943\/this-is-how-fnbs-ebucks-rewards-will-change-from-july\/","title":{"rendered":"This is how FNB&#8217;s eBucks rewards will change from July"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>FNB and RMB\u00a0Private Bank\u2019s rewards programme <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ebucks.com\/web\/eBucks\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>eBucks<\/strong><\/a> is receiving an update on 1 July, with the way members earns points set to change.<\/p>\n<p>eBucks\u00a0customers will be informed of the update\u00a0from 1 June, which will give\u00a0them sufficient time to\u00a0work through the changes, said eBucks.<\/p>\n<p>The company shared some of the changes customers can expect, which are detailed below.<\/p>\n<p>Premier customers\u2019 activities which will earn them points will be weighted\u00a0as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>General banking\u00a0\u2013 <strong>11.5%<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Transactions (cheque, credit card) \u2013 <strong>27.5%<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Savings and investments \u2013 <strong>44%<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Asset finance \u2013 <strong>7.5%<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Credit products \u2013 <strong>9.5%<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Premier banking \u2013 Premier, Private Client, and Private Wealth \u2013 customers will now be required to use the banking app at least once a month to qualify for eBucks, while\u00a0Easy and Gold account customers will move to the \u201cnext level\u201d for using the app each month.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"my-4\">Cash-back rewards<\/h3>\n<p>FNB has introduced a cash-back rewards system for Easy customers, which works like\u00a0eBucks. Gold customers will be removed from the \u201cpoints system\u201d and also placed on a reward level system.<\/p>\n<p>Easy and Gold customers\u2019 reward rate will be based on the number of products they hold.<\/p>\n<p>For Easy and Gold customers, the process of earning has been\u00a0simplified and customers can choose between products and services in eight categories.
