Today (16 May 2012) Vodacom<\/a> announced the launch of their Freedom 99 prepaid tariff, offering calls to all networks at 99 cents per minute.<\/p>\n

\u201cCustomers have been looking for simplicity and for value, and Freedom 99 delivers exactly that. Calls to anyone, anytime, on any network in South Africa are now just 99 cents per minute with Freedom 99. It really is that simple,\u201d said Vodacom\u2019s marketing head, Enzo Scarcella<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Freedom 99 customers who recharge with R12 or more will also get 60 minutes free talk time every day for seven days to call Vodacom customers between midnight and 05h00.<\/p>\n

Vodacom\u2019s Freedom 99 will be available from Sunday 20 May.<\/p>\n

Cell C has also reduced their prepaid call rates to 99c. The company announced today (16 May 2012) that it is launching a new prepaid voice product and tariff plan called \u201c99 Cents For Real\u201d.<\/p>\n

Cell C\u2019s new service slashes off-net and peak call tariffs to 99c per minute, and at the same time cut the rate of MMS<\/a> messaging to 99c per message and giving customers data at 99c per MB.<\/p>\n
