{"id":128433,"date":"2016-06-28T14:06:48","date_gmt":"2016-06-28T12:06:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=128433"},"modified":"2016-06-28T14:18:29","modified_gmt":"2016-06-28T12:18:29","slug":"sabc-appoints-new-ceo-after-matthews-resignation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/media\/128433\/sabc-appoints-new-ceo-after-matthews-resignation\/","title":{"rendered":"SABC appoints new CEO after Matthews resignation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The SABC has appointed its current chief financial officer, James Aguma, as its new acting CEO, following the resignation of former acting CEO, Jimi Matthews on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>In his resignation letter, Matthews said his \u201cimmediate resignation\u201d is due to the fact that he can be more effective outside of the SABC than working in it.<\/p>\n<p>He said the \u201ccorrosive atmosphere\u201d has impacted negatively on his moral judgement, which made him \u201ccomplicit in many decisions\u201d he is not proud of.<\/p>\n<p>Aguma was appointed as CFO in 2015, having\u00a0been acting CFO since March 2014.
