{"id":128499,"date":"2016-06-29T12:51:50","date_gmt":"2016-06-29T10:51:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=128499"},"modified":"2016-06-29T12:57:32","modified_gmt":"2016-06-29T10:57:32","slug":"this-south-african-advert-won-a-top-prize-at-cannes-festival","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/media\/128499\/this-south-african-advert-won-a-top-prize-at-cannes-festival\/","title":{"rendered":"This awesome South African advert won a top prize at Cannes festival"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <span class=\"xn-location\">Johannesburg<\/span> office of Ogilvy &amp; Mather (O&amp;M), has picked up a Grand Prix\u00a0at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, in the Radio category for its &#8216;Everyman Meal&#8217; campaign for KFC.<\/p>\n<p>The agency group walked away with 11 Cannes Lions, including two gold prizes.<\/p>\n<p>The series of KFC radio ads challenged norms and conventions of what it means to be a man.<\/p>\n<p>Featuring voices of men from all walks of life, the campaign highlights that you can still be manly even though enjoying things that are not traditionally considered manly &#8211; like lip balms and cocktails.<\/p>\n<p>The campaign also won a Gold Lion in the Radio category.<\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/soundcloud.com\/ogilvy-joburg\/sets\/kfc-the-everyman-meal<\/p>\n<p>Cannes Lions is the world\u2019s premier annual gathering of advertising, marketing and communications professionals and largest creative award show.
