The party also wants communications minister Faith Muthambi to answer for the department&#8217;s support of said policies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bdlive.co.za\/markets\/2016\/07\/06\/new-post-brexit-fears-hit-banks\">Hopes that the post-Brexit world was starting to settle and recover were dashed on Tuesday and a fresh wave of fear over Britian&#8217;s decision to leave the EU hit the markets<\/a><\/strong>. The JSE took a knock, ending 1.5% lower, with the local property and banking indices also suffering. Analysts say market volatility will be around for a long time still.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>South Africa&#8217;s assets weakened on Tuesday as worries about the domestic and global economy and renewed fears over Britain&#8217;s vote to leave the European Union dented risk appetite. <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.xe.com\/currencycharts\/?from=USD&amp;to=ZAR\">On Wednesday the rand was trading at R14.83 to the dollar, R19.16\u00a0to the pound and R16.41 to the euro<\/a><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>In global news:\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/af.reuters.com\/article\/southAfricaNews\/idAFL8N19S0HQ?sp=true\">Asian share markets turned tail on Wednesday as fears over instability in the European Union returned with a vengeance<\/a><\/strong>, sending the pound to three-decade lows and hammering risky assets of all stripes.\u00a0Stocks fell on Wall Street Tuesday following their best weekly performance of the year.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/us-global-oil-idUSKCN0ZM01H\">Oil prices fell in Asian trading amid wider market\u00a0turmoil set off by mounting concerns over the economic\u00a0impact of Britain&#8217;s vote to leave the European Union<\/a><\/strong>. U.S. crude was down 23 cents at $46.37 a barrel, while\u00a0Brent futures were down 18 cents at $47.78.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>In other news:<\/strong>\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cnbcafrica.com\/news\/southern-africa\/2016\/07\/06\/oscar-pistorius-judge-masipa-prison-sentence\/\">Oscar Pistorius is set to face sentencing today<\/a><\/strong>.
