In 2016, however, South Africa has a new cheapest car in the form of the Geely, usurping the Chery QQ.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Geely\u00a0 &#8211; From R92,990<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Chinese manufacturer has actually dropped the price for its most affordable vehicle &#8211; the Geely GC2 &#8211; in 2016, from R94,900, to <strong>R92,990<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>For that price tag, you get a 35 litre petrol tank, a 1.0 L engine which produces 55kW of power and 88Nm of torque.<\/p>\n<p><a  data-lightbox=\"post-image\" href=\"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Geely.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-98197\" src=\"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Geely.png\" alt=\"Geely\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Geely.png 600w, https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Geely-300x200.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Chery QQ3 \u2013 From R99,995<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Chery QQ3 0.8 TE is still priced at a few rand under the R100,000 &#8211; at <strong>R99,995<\/strong>.
