{"id":132249,"date":"2016-08-02T13:08:22","date_gmt":"2016-08-02T11:08:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=132249"},"modified":"2016-08-02T13:08:22","modified_gmt":"2016-08-02T11:08:22","slug":"new-low-cost-airline-for-lanseria-airport","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/business\/132249\/new-low-cost-airline-for-lanseria-airport\/","title":{"rendered":"New low-cost airline for Lanseria airport"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Low-cost carrier FlySafair has begun operating flights from northern Johannesburg\u2019s Lanseria International Airport from 1 August 2016.<\/p>\n<p>With the inclusion of Lanseria, the airline now operates at seven local airports \u2013 and estimates that its share of weekly seat capacity among local low-cost carriers now equates to approximately 28%.<\/p>\n<p>FlySafair will offer flights from Lanseria International Airport to Cape Town and George. Cape Town flights will commence 1 August and depart and return twice daily and George flights will depart and return on Fridays and Sundays starting 5 August.<\/p>\n<p>From 30 October the Cape Town schedule will increase to 3 flights daily.<\/p>\n<p>FlySafair\u2019s new Lanseria flights will not come at the expense of any other flights on its schedule.
