{"id":133234,"date":"2016-08-15T11:17:49","date_gmt":"2016-08-15T09:17:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=133234"},"modified":"2016-08-15T11:17:49","modified_gmt":"2016-08-15T09:17:49","slug":"south-africans-pick-their-favourite-car-brand","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/motoring\/133234\/south-africans-pick-their-favourite-car-brand\/","title":{"rendered":"South Africans pick their favourite car brand"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A survey conducted by Gumtree South Africa highlights the difference in men and women when it comes to buying a car.<\/p>\n<p>Gumtree surveyed customers about their car buying behaviour at the time of their last purchase, with 58% of the respondents being female.<\/p>\n<p>While\u00a0the behavioral traits may differ between the sexes on many aspects, both sexes agree about their favourite brand.<\/p>\n<p>Women&#8217;s favourite brands were Toyota (27%), Mercedes (13%) and Volkwagen (12%), while for men, Toyota (21%) also scored highest, followed by BMW (18%) and Volkswagen (14.6%).<\/p>\n<p>Women most often use words like &#8220;reliability, maintenance, comfort and affordability&#8221; when describing their favourite brand, Gumtree said.
