Gautrain passengers can now download free online books for the next 12 months.<\/p>\n
The Gautrain Management Agency (GMA) has partnered with Bookboon to make professional and business e-books available to Gautrain passengers.<\/p>\n
MEC for Roads and Transport Ismail Vadi said passengers will be able to download free online books from the Bookboon website in the field of engineering, IT, marketing, finance and entrepreneurship.<\/p>\n
\u201cGautrain is delighted about the Bridging the Gap initiative, as we are aware that education in South Africa is expensive, especially the cost of books,\u201d MEC Vadi said.<\/p>\n
The books will be available to passengers from Tuesday.<\/p>\n
The Bridging the Gap initiative forms part of Gautrain\u2019s ongoing endeavours of ensuring that customer experience on the Gautrain is of high quality and that service continues to offer value addition.<\/p>\n
The partnership between Gautrain and Bookboon will ensure that Gautrain continues to change people\u2019s lives for the better, not only through efficient public transport but by contributing to the creation of many development opportunities in the Gauteng province.<\/p>\n
Bookboon is a free e-book service that was launched in London a few years ago.<\/p>\n
It has now established a footprint in Africa with over five million free e-books distributed in South Africa and over 15 million across the African continent in 2015.<\/p>\n
