{"id":135985,"date":"2016-09-08T07:37:50","date_gmt":"2016-09-08T05:37:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=135985"},"modified":"2016-09-08T07:54:02","modified_gmt":"2016-09-08T05:54:02","slug":"watch-everything-you-need-to-know-about-the-new-apple-iphone-7-in-107-seconds","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/mobile\/135985\/watch-everything-you-need-to-know-about-the-new-apple-iphone-7-in-107-seconds\/","title":{"rendered":"Everything you need to know about the new Apple iPhone 7 in 107 seconds"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Apple has unveiled the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.apple.com\/iphone-7\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus<\/strong><\/a>, which\u00a0 feature new\u00a0cameras and a new design.<\/p>\n<p>The new iPhone display will be 25% brighter than its predecessor and feature 3D Touch and a wider colour gamut.<\/p>\n<p>The new series of phone comes in a steel finish called jet black, while other colours available include black, gold, silver, and rose gold.<\/p>\n<p>The iPhone 7 and 7 Plus will be water and dust resistant \u2013 at an IP67 rating.<\/p>\n<p>The new rear camera on the phone has a six-element 28mm lens with\u00a0a larger f\/1.8 aperture, and uses a new 12MP sensor that Apple said is 60% faster and 30% more efficient.<\/p>\n<p>It is accompanied by a new TrueTone flash with four LEDs and an upgraded image processor.<\/p>\n<p>The iPhone 7 will also feature stereo speakers \u2013 one on the top and one on the bottom of the device \u2013 providing twice the volume of the iPhone 6S and increased dynamic range.<\/p>\n<p>Apple also confirmed the new iPhone will not have a headphone jack, and will sport a single Lightning connection.<\/p>\n<p>Apple also revealed\u00a0its next generation of\u00a0smartwatches, called Apple Watch Series 2.<\/p>\n<p>The new watches will be\u00a0water resistant up to 50 metres and are designed for swimming and surfing.
