Google\u2019s\u00a0smart messaging app\u00a0Allo is available in South Africa.<\/p>\n
Google Allo works\u00a0off your phone number and is available for Android and iOS mobile devices.<\/p>\n
The app was announced at the Google I\/O Developer conference in May, and was billed as a competitor to WhatsApp<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n Allo sports\u00a0regular messaging app features, along with\u00a0a preview version of Google Assistant \u2013 which integrates search functionality into the chat.<\/p>\n Google said this will let you find a restaurant and book a table, for example, while chatting to a friend about dinner plans.<\/p>\n Allo also features Smart Reply, which lets you respond to messages using suggested responses based on your conversation.<\/p>\n Send and receive indicators, emoji, custom stickers, and image sending are all standard features with Allo.<\/p>\n \u201cAll chats are encrypted so your information is secure.
