Cell C has launched five new promotional contract LTE packages targeted at the home, home office and small business environments.<\/p>\n
Cell C has over 2,200 LTE base stations across the country and offers LTE-Advanced coverage in three major metro areas including Cape Town, Pretoria and Johannesburg.<\/p>\n
Investment in LTE and LTE-Advanced continues in Kwa-Zulu-Natal, Mpumalanga, Limpopo and other regions and will be completed in due course, the company said.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur efforts over the last few years have been focused on rolling out a highly-advanced data network offering LTE and LTE-Advanced services to keep up with the growing demands of a connected South Africa,\u201d said Cell C CEO Jose Dos Santos.<\/p>\n
The new LTE Power Plans, Cell C’s\u00a0first range of broadband offer include:<\/p>\n
In simple terms, customers will be paying less than 1c per MB, it said.<\/p>\n
“Cell C is constantly looking at ways to ensure customers retain the best value, even if they are using far more than they did before. In addition, the rollout of Fibre to the Home has been slow and we wanted to provide a viable fixed mobile solution to customers who are not yet connected to Fibre or ADSL,\u201d said Dos Santos.<\/p>\n
While the LTE Power Plans are 24-month contracts, should a customer wish to cancel for any reason, only 30 days notice will be required.\u00a0 No cancellation fees will apply.<\/p>\n
Cell C said it is also adding a new promotional prepaid data product to its range of SmartData plans. The Giga200 comes in at R1599 once-off or under R8 per GB and will provide the customer with 200GB of anytime data on any of Cell C\u2019s data networks, valid for one year.<\/p>\n
