And I am qualified,” he said.

He also took the opportunity to sing his own praises, crediting himself with single-handedly saving the broadcaster from disaster.

“I want to applaud those people who recognise this wonderful person called Hlaudi Motsoeneng,” he said. “I will perform miracles in any position.”

“As an individual I accept the court ruling. I accept that SABC should follow proper process and I am going to apply. I believe were I am I do miracles.”

In November 2015, the Western Cape High Court found Motsoeneng’s appointment was irrational and unlawful and set it aside. The DA brought the application.

The DA got a court order forcing the SABC to hold a disciplinary hearing against him, but he was cleared of the charges in December 2015.

On May 23 this year, Judge Dennis Davis dismissed his application for leave to appeal. Motsoeneng then approached the SCA, which also dismissed the case.

More on the SABC

Motsoeneng to report to SABC as ‘ordinary employee’

The way is open to fire Motsoeneng from the SABC: DA

Government jumps to rescue Motsoeneng

Controversial SABC employee Hlaudi Motsoeneng says that he will reapply to be COO of the public broadcaster when the opportunity arises – and in the meantime he will serve in his previous role as group executive of corporate affairs.

[5554
26,667
post-138251","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-media","tag-headline","tag-sabc
["GET
