Cape Town CBD is set to get a new skyscraper, across the road from Cape Town Central Station.<\/p>\n

Currently in the planning stage is the Zero-2-One Tower, proposed for the northwest corner of Strand and Adderley streets.<\/p>\n

According to the Cape Town Central City Improvement District, the new building would comprise 42 storeys and approximately 148m in height.<\/p>\n

“The structure will become the tallest building in Cape Town when topped out,” the CCID<\/a> said.<\/p>\n

It is set to have 624 apartments, 760 parking bays and 6,000m2 of retail. It will also have a viewing deck, open to the public and set to become a major CBD destination with 360 degree views.<\/p>\n

The project is led by development, quantity surveying, architecture and project management firm – FWJK. The company is also responsible for the\u00a0R400 million\u00a0KPMG Place on the Foreshore.<\/p>\n

Cape Town station<\/a> meanwhile, is also set for a\u00a0R1 billion re-development in the form of a 120-room hotel, office and retail complex on a part of the forecourt of the public transport exchange area.<\/p>\n
