Hilton Worldwide says it plans to construct the tallest building in Africa, a 43-storey 255 room and suite hotel in Upperhill, Nairobi Kenya.<\/p>\n

The hotel chain has signed a management agreement with Jabavu Village to build a 300 metre tall structure which is set to be completed by 2020.<\/p>\n

Jabavu will construct a total of 104 floors split in two blocks. Tower 1 (300 metres) will have 66 floors while Tower 2 (201 metres) will have 40 floors.<\/p>\n

Hilton Hotels & Resorts plans to increase its footprint in the Africa continent from its existing 39 hotels to more than 80 hotels in the next three to five years.<\/p>\n

The two skyscrapers are being constructed on a 2.5 acre plot at the junction of Upper Hill Road and Haile Selassie Avenue.<\/p>\n

Co-developed by Jabavu Village and White Lotus Projects, Hilton Nairobi Upper Hill will comprise an executive lounge and five food and beverage outlets, including a poolside bar, speciality smokehouse and grill restaurant, lobby dining area with landscaped deck and a boutique rooftop bar on the 43rd level.<\/p>\n
