{"id":141113,"date":"2016-10-24T13:42:33","date_gmt":"2016-10-24T11:42:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=141113"},"modified":"2016-10-24T13:42:33","modified_gmt":"2016-10-24T11:42:33","slug":"watch-mercedes-teases-new-pickup-truck","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/motoring\/141113\/watch-mercedes-teases-new-pickup-truck\/","title":{"rendered":"Watch: Mercedes teases new pickup truck"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mercedes-Benz has teased the launch of its much anticipated pickup truck &#8211; under the tagline: &#8216;a new kind of tough&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>The German automaker will reveal its pickup truck concept in Sweden on 25 October according to a link set up to stream the event on <a href=\"https:\/\/pickup.mercedes-benz.com\/en\/countdown.html#\" target=\"_blank\">YouTube<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/2016\/07\/25\/leaked-mercedes-product-roadmap-amg-gt-roadster\/\" target=\"_blank\">Autoblog<\/a>, Mercedes is planning to put a production-ready version of the pickup truck on the road before the end of 2017.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The rise of a new star: On Tuesday, October 25, 2016, Mercedes-Benz will present a new car class in Stockholm: the Mercedes-Benz Pickup \u201cThe Concept\u201d.
