download it here"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Public Protector has finally released the report on allegations of state capture, having been granted leave to do so by the High Court.<\/p>\n<p>The report&#8217;s release follows a failed court bid by president Jacob Zuma to have the report blocked from being published to the public, due to procedural failures on behalf of the former Public Protector, Thuli Madonsela.<\/p>\n<p>According to the president, Madonsela did not follow procedure, and did not give him enough time to answer questions relating to allegations implicating him in the report.<\/p>\n<p>Similar court bids were raised by cooperative governance minister Des van Rooyen and mineral resources minister\u00a0Mosebenzi Zwane.<\/p>\n<p>According to the report, Madonsela uncovered corrupt activities involved in the Gupta state capture saga, and recommended that a\u00a0judicial inquisition of enquiry be set up to investigate the matter.<\/p>\n<p>Along with Zuma, van Rooyen and Zwane, other implicated persons include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Dr Ben Ngubane and the board of Eskom;<\/li>\n<li>Duduzane Zuma;<\/li>\n<li>Ajay Gupta<\/li>\n<li>Tegeta Exploration;
