The Beeld is reporting that no vote took place on the matter &#8211; but it is still uncertain what sort of discussions happened, and under what conditions Zuma came out victorious.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.businesslive.co.za\/bd\/politics\/2016-11-29-ministers-we-will-quit-if-zuma-stays\/\">Meanwhile, reports from insiders at the NEC say that several ministers threatened to quit if president Jacob Zuma stayed in power<\/a><\/strong>. The reality many ministers face after the meeting is that they either need to quit, or wait until they are reshuffled out of their positions. According to analysts, the NEC meeting provided an opportunity for the pro-Zuma faction to see who was against them.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.timeslive.co.za\/thetimes\/2016\/11\/29\/Inquiry-into-SABC-stymied\">The last\u00a0 SABC board member standing, Mbulaheni Maguvhe is doing everything in his power to dismantle or delay the government committee being launched to investigate the broadcaster<\/a><\/strong>. Maguvhe approached the courts this week in an attempt to get the committee dismantled, saying that the ministers on the body are not impartial. Maguvhe is the last board member after all other members resigned after becoming targets of the investigation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/ewn.co.za\/2016\/11\/29\/jhb-ems-warns-of-possible-veld-fires-as-heatwave-grips-parts-of-gauteng\">A heatwave is about to hit Gauteng, the weather service says, and citizens should be extra careful to avoid dehydrating and other dangers<\/a><\/strong>. Joburg emergency services has warned residents to be wary of veld fires and to avoid spending too much time in direct sunlight.
