{"id":14595,"date":"2012-06-06T09:45:35","date_gmt":"2012-06-06T07:45:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=14595"},"modified":"2012-06-06T10:58:23","modified_gmt":"2012-06-06T08:58:23","slug":"court-grants-lonestar-cell-mtn-stay-order","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/mobile\/14595\/court-grants-lonestar-cell-mtn-stay-order\/","title":{"rendered":"Court grants Lonestar Cell MTN stay order"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Lonestar Cell <a title=\"MTN\" href=\"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/forum\/showthread.php\/1640-MTN-Group\">MTN<\/a> has welcomed a court decision granting the mobile operator a \u201cstay order\u201d against the Liberia Telecommunications Authority (LTA)\u2019s resolution to suspend its operating licence.<\/p>\n<p>The regulator recently advised Lonestar Cell MTN that it would suspend its operating licence for two weeks after it disconnected its competitor, Comium, for unpaid interconnection fees spanning more than a year.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Lonestar Cell MTN remains committed to engage with the LTA to establish the meaning and terms of the suspension with a view to resolving the impasse,&#8221; the group said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>Rival operator COMIUM accused Lonestar Cell MTN of\u00a0disconnecting its Interconnection Truck, with the later firm citing indebtedness for its actions.
