A new map based on WHO’s annual Global status on Health and Alcohol shows the which are the world’s booziest countries based on the amount of alcohol consumed by a country’s average citizen over the course of the year.<\/p>\n

The map which was collated by travel website Vouchercloud found that Eastern Europeans Moldova\u00a0are in the top spot, consuming 17.4 litres of alcohol a year.<\/p>\n

They were closely followed by European neighbours Belarus, Lithuania, Russia and the Czech Republic who made up the rest of the top 5 respectively.<\/p>\n

The report found that South Africans consume around 11.5 litres of alcohol per person per year,\u00a0making it the 22nd booziest country in the world.<\/p>\n
