Vodacom has launched\u00a0Facebook Flex, the \u201cfirst of many products to launch under the Vodacom Siyakha platform\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cFacebook Flex will give customers on the Vodacom network an opportunity to connect with friends and family using the basic version of Facebook for free,\u201d said Vodacom.<\/p>\n
Vodacom users can \u201cupdate their Facebook status and comment on posts even when they do not have data\u201d, and can switch from the \u201cfree version\u201d of Facebook to \u201cdata mode\u201d to access the full service.<\/p>\n
To use Facebook Flex, customers can log onto Facebook.com or dial *111*32#.<\/p>\n
Vodacom said Siyakha<\/strong><\/a> is a platform that will offer zero-rated and lower-priced products and services to the \u201cemerging prepaid segment of Vodacom\u2019s customer base\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThis includes a range of Vodacom insurance products, free health content, and Vodacom\u2019s infotainment platform Video Play,\u201d said Vodacom.<\/p>\n \u201cFor example, for just 99c, Siyakha customers can view the latest music content and the best local soapies.\u201d<\/p>\n Siyakha will also house Vodacom\u2019s existing educational portals and careers and jobs websites.<\/p>\n
