{"id":151280,"date":"2017-01-18T11:42:38","date_gmt":"2017-01-18T09:42:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=151280"},"modified":"2017-01-18T11:45:06","modified_gmt":"2017-01-18T09:45:06","slug":"new-call-for-investigation-into-all-apartheid-government-corruption","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/business\/151280\/new-call-for-investigation-into-all-apartheid-government-corruption\/","title":{"rendered":"New call for investigation into all apartheid government corruption"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Institute for Justice and Reconciliation has called for a commission of inquiry into the broader issue of corruption in South Africa during apartheid, reports <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/ewn.co.za\/\" target=\"_blank\">EWN<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>This follows a leaked preliminary Public Protector report implicating Absa and several other high-profile financial institutions in the looting of state funds.<\/p>\n<p>The inquiry would allow those with more information on corruption during apartheid to come forward, said\u00a0IJR researcher Hennie van Vuuren.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNew evidence should be presented to the public.
