{"id":152393,"date":"2017-01-24T14:01:14","date_gmt":"2017-01-24T12:01:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=152393"},"modified":"2017-01-24T20:15:14","modified_gmt":"2017-01-24T18:15:14","slug":"these-are-the-25-best-hotels-in-south-africa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/lifestyle\/152393\/these-are-the-25-best-hotels-in-south-africa\/","title":{"rendered":"These are the 25 best hotels in South Africa"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Travel website TripAdvisor has released its <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tripadvisor.co.za\/TravelersChoice-Hotels-cTop-g293740\">Traveller&#8217;s Choice Awards<\/a><\/strong> winners for 2017, detailing the best hotels to stay at in South Africa.<\/p>\n<p>The list is based entirely on readers reviews and encompasses a wide-range of accommodation types and price ranges provided the accommodation meets TripAdvisor&#8217;s definition of hotel which includes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A front desk is open and staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week;<\/li>\n<li>Daily housekeeping is included in the room price;<\/li>\n<li>Private bathroom for each unit;<\/li>\n<li>Must not require guests to stay more than 3 nights.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The prestigious Oyster Box situated in Umhlanga Rocks was named this year&#8217;s best hotel in South Africa with reviewers making special mention of the high-quality meals available and its ideal beach-positioning as its biggest selling points.<\/p>\n<p>It was followed by Kapama Safari Lodge (based in the Kapama Game Reserve) in second and Cape Town&#8217;s Cape Grace Hotel in third.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3 class=\"my-4\"><strong>1.
