{"id":154097,"date":"2017-01-31T16:39:54","date_gmt":"2017-01-31T14:39:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=154097"},"modified":"2017-01-31T16:39:54","modified_gmt":"2017-01-31T14:39:54","slug":"nandos-shuts-down-talk-of-listing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/business\/154097\/nandos-shuts-down-talk-of-listing\/","title":{"rendered":"Nando&#8217;s shuts down talk of listing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>South African chicken franchise Nando&#8217;s says it has no plans to rejoin the stock market, after unnamed sources told Bloomberg it was being considered.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement issued on Tuesday, the group said that &#8220;the speculation about a Nando&#8217;s IPO is incorrect, nor are we\u00a0currently considering fundraising.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Nando&#8217;s is a privately owned business that still owned by the entrepreneurs who set up the business in the first place,&#8221; it said.<\/p>\n<p>Bloomberg reported that\u00a0Nando\u2019s\u00a0was speaking to advisors and was in the early stages of planning an IPO, looking at the London stock exchange as a possible target.<\/p>\n<p>Nando\u2019s was founded in 1987 in South Africa, but has grown into an international franchise spanning over 35 countries.
