{"id":15451,"date":"2012-06-17T15:01:34","date_gmt":"2012-06-17T13:01:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=15451"},"modified":"2012-06-18T11:41:19","modified_gmt":"2012-06-18T09:41:19","slug":"absa-attracts-120000-mobile-customer-each-month","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/banking\/15451\/absa-attracts-120000-mobile-customer-each-month\/","title":{"rendered":"Absa attracts 120,000 mobile customers each month"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a title=\"Absa Bank\" href=\"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/forum\/showthread.php\/1877-Absa-Bank\">Absa<\/a> says it attracts\u00a0an average of 120,000 new mobile customers each month and\u00a0boasts in excess of\u00a03.6 million mobile banking clients and 1.35 million online customers.<\/p>\n<p>According to\u00a0<a title=\"Christo Vrey\" href=\"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/forum\/showthread.php\/3483-Christo-Vrey\">Christo Vrey<\/a>, head of Absa Digital Banking, the group attracted 180,000 new mobile users in March.<\/p>\n<p>Absa will not provide a date for the launch of its banking application; however, the group&#8217;s new \u00a0multi-million online platform has\u00a0been optimised for tablet use.<\/p>\n<p>The anticipated release of Absa\u2019s banking app was delayed due to problems with its back-end system.
