Nedbank<\/a> opened its flagship “next generation” store in Johannesburg on Thursday (21 June), following hot on the heels of Absa<\/a>, and First National Bank (FNB)<\/a>, which opened its dotFNB branch April.<\/p>\n

Nedbank says its new Nicolway Branch presents the “next generation” of Nedbank branches, which offer \u201cstate-of-the-art technology designed to deliver an unprecedented client experience\u201d along with a choice of products and services that meet the individual and business needs of its clients.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn keeping with Nedbank\u2019s ethos to \u2018Make Things Happen\u2019 with our clients in an ever-changing world, we understand that innovation and convenience for clients are vital to ensure that we provide a seamless client experience, enabling clients to do their banking while they shop and allowing for their limited time, to work better for them,\u201d said Dave Schwegmann<\/a>, the managing executive of Nedbank’s branch network.<\/p>\n

The bank highlighted a new queuing system to cut queuing time, while each consultant at the branch offers a range of services to help reduce the overall time customers would need to spend inside the branch.<\/p>\n

The new branch boasts an Intelligent Depositor ATM, providing for real-time deposits even after traditional banking hours, along with free WiFi<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Nedbank Nicolway Branch brings the existing branch network to 467 across South Africa, and is one of over 50 branches offering extended banking hours.<\/p>\n
