{"id":168275,"date":"2017-04-04T15:53:09","date_gmt":"2017-04-04T13:53:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=168275"},"modified":"2017-04-04T17:34:24","modified_gmt":"2017-04-04T15:34:24","slug":"the-best-and-worst-short-term-insurers-in-south-africa-in-2017","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/finance\/168275\/the-best-and-worst-short-term-insurers-in-south-africa-in-2017\/","title":{"rendered":"The best and worst short-term insurers in South Africa in 2017"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The latest South African Customer Satisfaction Index (SAcsi) for Short-Term Insurers, conducted by Consulta, reports that South African short-term insurance customers are the most satisfied with Santam\u2019s offerings.<\/p>\n<p>With an overall SAcsi score of 81.3, <strong>Santam<\/strong> is well above the industry average of 75.8. It is the only insurer to consistently improve its score over the past three years, from 77.3 in 2014 and 80.0 in 2015, when it overtook <strong>Outsurance<\/strong> to become the industry leader, SAcsi said.<\/p>\n<p>Outsurance scored 77.3 (up 0.6 points) and <strong>Mutual &amp;
