JSE-listed Allied Technologies (Altech) has on Monday (2 July) announced the appointment of Robin Marsden as executive of corporate finance and Richard Wingfield as chief information officer to the Altech Group.<\/p>\n
According to Altech, Marsden is an accomplished business leader with executive and financial experience in South Africa, the United States and international markets. He has more than 15 years\u2019 board level experience and his previous positions include Partner and Head of M&A and Corporate Finance Advisory at Deloitte, \u00a0chief executive officer of Sage Life USA & Bermuda, CFO and CIO at Sage Life, and Management Consulting Partner at Deloitte.<\/p>\n
Marsden\u00a0will report to Peter Curle, director: corporate finance at Altech and his duties will include acquisitions, joint ventures, financing, restructurings and disposals for the Altech Group.<\/p>\n
Altech notes that Richard Wingfield is a well-respected professional with more than 25 years of experience in the IT industry. His experience covers the full breadth of the technology scope, including global technology strategies\/innovations, complex system design through to global system implementation and support.<\/p>\n
“He has extensive management experience having led large teams across multiple regions and zones. Richard was formerly a chief technology officer at JP Morgan for the past 10 years,” Altech said.<\/p>\n
Wingfield\u00a0will report to Dr Willie Oosthuysen, CTO and chief strategic officer at Altech. “He will be responsible for providing vision and leadership in respect of the development and implementation of information technology initiatives to optimise and improve cost effectiveness, service quality and group business development,” Altech said.<\/p>\n
Altech \u00a0is focused on the telecommunications, multi-media and information technology (TMT) industries and employs more than 3,580 employees in South Africa and abroad.<\/p>\n
