Standard Bank<\/a>\u00a0has seen 14,879\u00a0<\/strong>total downloads for its new mobile banking application since its launch on the 27 June.<\/p>\n

The group\u00a0\u00a0launched its mobile banking app for\u00a0Android<\/a>, BlackBerry<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0iOS<\/a>\u00a0last week,\u00a0taking its spot as the third bank to launch a mobile offering for customers.<\/p>\n

Since launching its mobile banking application on the 20th July 2011,\u00a0FNB<\/a>\u00a0recently noted that it has seen over R4 billion in transactions go through its own app.<\/p>\n

Jordaan also tweeted that the FNB App had over 200,000 transacting users, making over two million transactions.<\/p>\n

The app, called \u201cStandard Bank Mobile Banking\u201d, allows users to access a number of the bank\u2019s services, even if you are not an account holder. Users will only be allowed to access accounts from linked devices.<\/p>\n

The app makes provision for up to 10 devices to be linked to an account.<\/p>\n

The app is free, and has no subscription fees attached \u2013 but Standard Bank does point out that \u201cthere are transaction fees on certain transactions.\u201d<\/p>\n
