The 2017 World Car Awards winners have been announced, with the organisation naming six of the best cars around the world in a number of different categories.<\/p>\n

The WCA are administered by a not-for-profit association, under the guidance of a Steering Committee of distinguished automotive journalists from Asia, Europe, and North America. It is intended to complement, not compete with existing national and regional COTY awards, which are inherently different in scope.<\/p>\n

This also means that by its nature, WCOTY includes some vehicles that may be unavailable in individual regions, and excludes others whose availability may be limited to those regions.<\/p>\n

Jaguar’s first SUV, the F-Pace, was named 2017 World Car of the Year at the New York Auto Show, having earlier won World Car Design of the Year.<\/p>\n
