South African Airways (SAA) says it is experiencing some domestic flight delays and cancellations due to striking staff.<\/p>\n
\u201cFlights departing from coastal cities early this morning have been impacted and options have been considered to accommodate passengers affected by the cancellations,\u201d the airline said in a statement.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe required number of cabin crew members are currently not available to enable SAA to operate all of its flights.\u201d<\/p>\n
Cabin crew are calling for more money for meals when working abroad. SAA staff said they have not had an international meal allowance increase in six years.<\/p>\n
Managers of O. R. Tambo International Airport said they are monitoring the strike, adding that that they have contingency plans to deal with any disruption.<\/p>\n
