{"id":173751,"date":"2017-05-08T13:44:21","date_gmt":"2017-05-08T11:44:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=173751"},"modified":"2017-05-08T13:44:21","modified_gmt":"2017-05-08T11:44:21","slug":"mtn-to-invest-in-iranian-net","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/mobile\/173751\/mtn-to-invest-in-iranian-net\/","title":{"rendered":"MTN to invest in Iranian Net"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>MTN has signed a non-binding preliminary agreement to invest in Iranian Net.<\/p>\n<p>The operator will invest approximately R540 million into the Iranian fixed broadband provider for a 49% stake.<\/p>\n<p>Further investments of approximately R3.4 billion in equity and loans to facilitate Iranian Net meeting its roll-out targets over the next five years are also planned.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe preliminary agreement remains subject to finalising suitable transaction agreements.
