Speaking at a Bloomberg foreign correspondence event on Wednesday, Mantashe said that Zuma cannot be removed as president while he remains president of the party. However, once he is no longer ANC president, removing him becomes &#8220;less complex&#8221;.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Western Cape premier Helen Zille&#8217;s suspension from the party has drawn a mixed reaction, with many supporting the decision and others lambasting it. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.enca.com\/south-africa\/eff-criticises-zille-suspension\">However the EFF has described it as &#8216;playful&#8217; on the part of the DA, as it has little to no bearing for the rest of South Africa, outside the DA itself.<\/a><\/strong> The EFF wants Zille to be removed as premier of the Western Cape, saying that if she is not worthy of the DA, how can she be worthy in government.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.co.za\/2017\/06\/07\/while-wee-been-fixated-on-the-gupta-emails-dlamini-zuma-has-be_a_22130282\/?utm_hp_ref=za-homepage\">While much of South Africa has been fixated on the Gupta email leaks, presidential hopeful, Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma has quietly been blazing the campaign trail across the country. <\/a><\/strong>Dlamini-Zuma, who is president Zuma&#8217;s preferred candidate to succeed him, has had 14 engagements sine late April and over May, &#8220;not&#8221; campaigning in Limpopo, Gauteng, the Free State, Eastern Cape and KZN. She has kept out of the news, and under the radar.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.timeslive.co.za\/thetimes\/2017\/06\/08\/Hell-and-high-water-%E2%80%94-but-great-storm-does-not-deliver-drought-breaking-rain\">The Western Cape is facing a terrible time, with storms in Cape Town claiming at least 8 lives this week, while fires in Knysna ravage the area, forcing thousands of residents to flee their homes.<\/a><\/strong> While the weather service says the worst of the Cape storms is over, residents should remain cautious as concerns over flash floods remain.
