One thing was clear thought, the president denied owning a home in Dubai.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.enca.com\/south-africa\/gigaba-hits-back-at-malema-over-transnet-claims\">Finance minister Malusi Gigaba has hit back at claims by EFF leader Julius Malema that he has been captured by the Guptas and allowed them to capture the state. <\/a><\/strong>Gigaba said it was ironic that someone apparently fighting corruption was also once accused of it. Malema was accused of tender fraud, but the charges were struck from the roll after an investigation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/mg.co.za\/article\/2017-06-09-00-sacp-rounds-on-its-leaders-who-back-zuma\">The SACP will start purging members\u00a0who back and support president Jacob Zuma\u00a0from the party, the Mail &amp; Guardian reports. <\/a><\/strong>The party will hold its national executive committee and likely get rid of members like agricultural minister Senzeni Zokwana, who opposed the motion to recall Zuma at the ANC&#8217;s recent NEC meeting. The SACP has taken the position that Zuma must step down.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.timeslive.co.za\/local\/2017\/06\/08\/Almost-half-a-million-people-have-been-murdered-in-SA-since-19941\">New data from the Institute of Race Relations has revealed that almost 450,000 people have been murdered in South Africa since the dawn of democracy. <\/a><\/strong>While the murder rate has dropped since 1994, the country still has one of the highest murder rates in the world, with it being\u00a029 times higher than that of Australia\u201a 30 times higher than the United Kingdom and 45 times higher than Germany.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/af.reuters.com\/article\/southAfricaNews\/idAFL8N1J60PU\">South Africa&#8217;s rand weakened against the dollar on Thursday as manufacturing and mining data added to a gloomy economic outlook and global events weighed on emerging markets<\/a><\/strong>, while stocks fell to a three-month low as gold and platinum mining shares slumped.
