{"id":18063,"date":"2012-07-18T10:00:57","date_gmt":"2012-07-18T08:00:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=18063"},"modified":"2012-07-18T14:55:09","modified_gmt":"2012-07-18T12:55:09","slug":"pnet-acquires-jobs-co-za","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/internet\/18063\/pnet-acquires-jobs-co-za\/","title":{"rendered":"Pnet acquires Jobs.co.za"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>PNet.co.za, an online recruitment service provider owned by Saongroup.com, has acquired Jobs.co.za for an undisclosed sum.<\/p>\n<p>Saongroup.com has\u00a0offices in 19 countries across four continents and\u00a0operates online recruitment websites for recruiters and career seekers in Ireland, the United Kingdom, Europe, China, South Africa, Africa, Central America and the Caribbean.<\/p>\n<p>The group says this latest acquisition further strengthens its position in the South African market.<\/p>\n<p>The Jobs.co.za business will continue to operate independently while rapidly growing its customer base and strengthening relationships with existing customers,\u00a0Saongroup.com\u00a0said.<\/p>\n<p>Founded in 1997, Pnet says it has over 1,200,000 (over 250,000 added in the last 9 months) professional job seekers and more than\u00a08,600 recruiters.<\/p>\n<p>Saongroup.com Africa MD, Greig Smith said: \u201cThe acquisition allows saongroup.com Africa to compete in a segment of the South African market where it hasn\u2019t traditionally had a presence.
