{"id":182993,"date":"2017-07-01T11:40:51","date_gmt":"2017-07-01T09:40:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=182993"},"modified":"2017-07-01T11:44:01","modified_gmt":"2017-07-01T09:44:01","slug":"vodacom-signs-20-million-deal-with-us-game-publisher","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/mobile\/182993\/vodacom-signs-20-million-deal-with-us-game-publisher\/","title":{"rendered":"Vodacom signs $20 million deal with US game publisher"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Vodacom Group has partnered with US-based mobile game publisher,\u00a0GameMine, in a $20 million (R260 million) deal\u00a0to bring subscription-based mobile games to the South African market.<\/p>\n<p>GameMine will provide a selection of its ad-free mobile games, which include more than 175 titles spanning all major mobile gaming genres, free of charge to Vodacom subscribers during a promotional trial period.<\/p>\n<p>The deal forms part of Vodacom&#8217;s\u00a0 Meg Your Day promotion, which offers prepaid, contract, and hybrid plan subscribers free data for certain services.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;MegYourDay is the product of numerous conversations with customers, and really listening to what they&#8217;re wanting as added value for being part of the Vodacom family.
