4imobile in association with Street parking solutions, the company responsible for the management of parking in Cape Town’s CBD, has released its new\u00a0ParkFind app.<\/p>\n
The application works by making use of a colour-coded reference that indicates the likelihood of finding open parking spots.<\/p>\n
After signing in, the app uses your phone\u2019s GPS coordinates or location-based information, to automatically indicate areas closest to you where you are most likely to find open parking bays.<\/p>\n
The colour coding functions, as follows:<\/p>\n
Once a user finds a spot and parks, the Street Parking Solutions marshal then scans in the car\u2019s number plate and initiates a parking session, using their device.<\/p>\n
When the user returns to their car, the parking session ends and they can pay for their parking using the mobile application, as linked directly to their bankcard. Users can also choose to pay for their parking with cash, and simply select the option to end their parking session and pay the marshal directly.<\/p>\n
ParkFind also stores parking slips for parking paid for via the app, enabling users to view their parking history.<\/p>\n
