Telkom says it has won a ‘landmark’ case with costs against Vodacom at the Western High Court after it accused the company of\u00a0unlawfully using its cable infrastructure.<\/p>\n

Telkom said it brought an urgent application against Vodacom relating to its \u201cunlawful use of its infrastructure in the Dennegeur residential estate, in Somerset West.<\/p>\n

“Our concern was that Vodacom unlawfully accessed Telkom\u2019s duct infrastructure and we requested the court to order Vodacom to remove its cabling from our ducts,” the telco said in a statement on Wednesday, 26 July 2017.<\/p>\n

“Telkom is pleased that the court ruled in our favour and agreed that our infrastructure may not be accessed without following prescribed regulatory process,” it said.<\/p>\n
