Fitbit on Monday announced its first-ever smartwatch \u2013 Fitbit Ionic \u2013\u00a0along with new wireless headphones.<\/p>\n

The listed wearables company said that its new device is a health and fitness first platform, which offers “a highly personalised experience”.<\/p>\n

“Ionic builds on Fitbit\u2019s health and fitness expertise with a new relative SpO2 sensor, making it possible to track deeper health insights like sleep apnea in the future, industry-leading GPS tracking, on-device dynamic workouts, improved heart rate tracking, and water resistance up to 50 meters,” it said.<\/p>\n

Additional features include contactless payments, on-board music, smart notifications, and a variety of apps and clock faces available in the Fitbit App Gallery.<\/p>\n

Core features also include a four-day-plus day battery life, automatic activity and sleep tracking, and cross-platform compatibility.<\/p>\n

Ionic runs on Fitbit OS, the company\u2019s new operating system for smartwatches that will be regularly updated to add new user experiences. This includes the launch of the Fitbit App Gallery.<\/p>\n

Fitbit Ionic is available in the US for $299.95 and will be available in stores worldwide beginning October 2017.<\/p>\n

The group also introduced the Fitbit Flyer –\u00a0 wireless headphones designed for workouts, and priced from $129.95.<\/p>\n
