Ranger is coming to South Africa"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>US motoring company Ford has announced that its Ranger Raptor will be heading to South African shores.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are excited to announce that the hugely popular Ford Ranger bakkie will be available in an off-road performance variant for the first time,&#8221; said Ford South Africa.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Designed and engineered to deliver an adrenaline pumping experience, Ford Ranger Raptor sports a head-turning exterior look that exudes toughness as well as a level of capability and off-road performance never before seen in the mid-size bakkie segment.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Sharing the same nomenclature as the F-150 Raptor, the world\u2019s most extreme production bakkie, Ranger Raptor is in a class of its own among mid-size off-road performance vehicles.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Combining the Raptor&#8217;s advanced off-road capabilities with the versatility of the Ranger is a significant accomplishment for Ford&#8217;s world-class engineering and design teams,&#8221; said Jamal Hameedi, chief engineer, Ford Performance.<\/p>\n<p>The Ford Ranger is consistently one of the bestselling bakkies and vehicles in South Africa, with the brand selling\u00a06,482 in the month of August.<\/p>\n<p>According to the latest year-to-date sales data from WesBank and Naamsa, it is also the second best selling bakkie in 2017 &#8211;
