SNG said it was resigning following recent developments around the family.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Public Investment Corporation (PIC) boss Dan Matjila has made a complete u-turn on claims that he was being put under political pressure to allow the finance ministry to use R100 billion from the fund to bail out SOEs. <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.co.za\/2017\/09\/26\/dan-matjilas-astounding-u-turn-on-soe-bailout-plan_a_23224096\/?utm_hp_ref=za-homepage\">Matjila now says that the media reports that previously directly quoted him making the statements were false.<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.moneyweb.co.za\/news\/companies-and-deals\/pick-n-pay-feels-the-heat\/\">Pick n Pay has hit back at critics of its new credit product, saying they&#8217;ve misunderstood the intent.<\/a><\/strong> The retailer has been accused of trying to lure the most vulnerable in society into accruing debt &#8211; however it is adamant that the credit agreement is targeted at middle-income shoppers, and is a challenge to banks that charge high interest and transaction fees.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/ewn.co.za\/2017\/09\/27\/cosatu-march-expected-to-draw-large-numbers-across-sa\">Thousands of workers are expected to take to the streets today in protest of president Jacob Zuma, state capture, and corruption.<\/a><\/strong> The march is being organized by Cosatu and the SACP, and is also a show of force, of how the two groups can rally the masses. The groups said they expect 250,000 people to take part in the action, and have the support of business groups.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>South Africa&#8217;s rand weakened in late trade on Tuesday, as investors fretted over global risk events such as the fallout from Germany&#8217;s election and tension between North Korea and the United States.
