TFG&#8217;s move comes as Telkom puts its relationship with KPMG on hold, while a slew of other companies have already cancelled contracts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.businesslive.co.za\/bd\/national\/2017-10-10-irregular-spending-rockets-at-transport-department\/\">The transport department has amassed R1.3 billion in irregular expenditure between 2014 and 2017,\u00a0Auditor-General Kimi Makwetu has said.<\/a><\/strong> The department has been flouting supply chain processes, and struggling with the eNatis system. There are also currently 5 internal investigations going on at the department over dubious contracts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.businesslive.co.za\/bd\/national\/2017-10-10-fronting-still-a-problem-says-bee-regulator\/\">The BBBEE Commission is expected to issue preliminary findings against at least 50 companies for contravening South Africa&#8217;s BEE Act<\/a><\/strong>, the group said, warning that one of the biggest contraventions has been fronting, which commissioner Zodwa Ntuli said remains a major proble in the country.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymaverick.co.za\/article\/2017-10-09-anc-leadership-race-zweli-mkhize-is-zumas-chosen-one-dlamini-zuma-just-a-decoy-says-holomisa\/#.Wdxee3cjFTY\">UDM leader Bantu Holomisa says that president Jacob Zuma&#8217;s apparent backing of Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma as his successor is just a smokescreen<\/a><\/strong>, and that treasurer general Zweli Mkhize &#8211; seen as the &#8216;compromise&#8217; or &#8216;third way&#8217; option for the ANC &#8211; is Zuma&#8217;s real &#8216;chosen one&#8217;.
