{"id":212441,"date":"2017-11-23T08:49:53","date_gmt":"2017-11-23T06:49:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=212441"},"modified":"2017-11-23T08:49:53","modified_gmt":"2017-11-23T06:49:53","slug":"mtn-hit-with-network-issues","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/mobile\/212441\/mtn-hit-with-network-issues\/","title":{"rendered":"MTN hit with network issues"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>MTN is experiencing network problems, which started shortly after 07:00.<\/p>\n<p>Down Detector showed an influx of network downtime reports from MTN subscribers on Thursday morning.<\/p>\n<p>According to users, the downtime is throughout the country \u2013 with most reports coming from Gauteng, Cape Town, and Durban.<\/p>\n<p>MTN spokesperson Jacqui O\u2019Sullivan told EWN they undertook an upgrade to parts of their network overnight.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOne part of the upgrade didn\u2019t take effectively.
