Andy Higgins<\/a>, founder and former managing director of Bidorbuy<\/a>, has joined uAfrica.com <\/a>as its managing director. Higgins joined the uAfrica.com team in August 2012.<\/p>\n

uAfrica.com (formerly Jump Shopping) is a technology company with a focus on e-commerce. The company has been operating in the e-commerce space since 2004, originally best known for building the online price comparison engine, jump.co.za.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m very excited to take on this project. E-commerce in South Africa is constantly evolving and together with the collective knowledge and experience in e-commerce that this venture brings, I believe uAfrica.com will be instrumental in growing e-commerce in South Africa,\u201d said Higgins.<\/p>\n

uAfrica.com focuses on all aspects of e-commerce, which include Jump Shopping\u2019s original concept of price comparison, which was renamed to uPrice.co.za.<\/p>\n

uAfrica.com is also an accredited co.za domain name registrar with Uniforum South Africa, providing domain name registration and management services through uWeb.co.za.<\/p>\n

The company further specialises in providing e-commerce consultancy services for all aspects of running an e-commerce business. uAfrica also plans to conduct e-commerce research, e-commerce training and will hold an annual e-commerce conference.<\/p>\n
