story with house price growth comfortably outstripping that of other major cities.<\/p>\n<p>The city\u2019s excellent performance has been driven by a range of factors, from the semigration of upcountry buyers, better governance, a booming tourism market and employment prospects in tech, advertising, design and other creative industries.<\/p>\n<p>However the high prices have also had a negative toll on some buyers, and numerous reports have indicated that buyers, particularly first-time buyers, are struggling to get on the property ladder due to increasingly unaffordable property prices.<\/p>\n<p>With this in mind,\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.privateproperty.co.za\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Private Property<\/a> <\/strong>looked at its housing data to form
