Meanwhile, former state security minister David Mahlobo says that the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.co.za\/2017\/12\/11\/mahlobo-anc-will-scrutinise-leaking-of-state-information_a_23303600\/?utm_hp_ref=za-homepage\">government will &#8220;address&#8221; the continued leaking of confidential information<\/a>.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.businesslive.co.za\/bd\/companies\/retail-and-consumer\/2017-12-12-steinhoffs-new-ethics-committee-does-little-to-reduce-concern\/\">Steinhoff&#8217;s moves to do damage control &#8211; such as establishing a subcommittee of independent directors to investigate the latest scandal &#8211; has done little to resolve concerns around the company<\/a><\/strong>. Analysts and investors say that the independent directors were already on the board and had already failed to govern properly.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeslive.co.za\/sunday-times\/business\/2017-12-12-ancs-splitting-heirs-party-heading-for-a-split-says-analysts\/\">Analysts believe the ANC is heading for a split, with the chances higher now than ever before in the party&#8217;s history.<\/a><\/strong> Despite both Ramaphosa and Dlamini-Zuma calling for unity after the coming conference, many analysts believe Ramaphosa&#8217;s supporters will forge their own path, should the deputy president not succeed Zuma as leader.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.enca.com\/south-africa\/npa-claims-abrahams-is-not-zuma-s-puppet\">The NPA has again dismissed allegations that Shaun Abrahams is a &#8216;Zuma puppet&#8217;, after Abrahams acceded to the president&#8217;s request for a deadline extension<\/a><\/strong> to allow him to make representations why he shouldn&#8217;t face 783 corruption charges.
