A committee will come up with a new draft process, which will be debated by the National assembly.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Universities and relevant government departments are meeting with political parties this week to try and avoid chaos at tertiary institutions, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.businesslive.co.za\/bd\/national\/2018-01-07-last-minute-negotiations-to-avoid-registration-chaos-at-sa-universities\/\">after the EFF threatened to shut down universities if they do not allow walk-in registrations<\/a><\/strong>. The chaos comes on the back of the free education announcement made by Zuma in December 2017.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.businesslive.co.za\/bd\/companies\/energy\/2018-01-07-eskom-agrees-to-lower-quality-coal-from-gupta-owned-tegeta\/\">Eskom has reportedly agreed to accept lower-quality coal at a higher price from the Gupta-owned Tegeta Resources and Exploration<\/a><\/strong>. Documentation seen by TimesLive is said to show that the agreement for the low-quality coal was struck in December 2017, where Eskom would pay over R200 per ton.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.news24.com\/SouthAfrica\/News\/the-axe-to-fall-on-de-lille-20180106\">Cape Town mayor Patricia de Lille could be booted from the position as early as this coming Sunday<\/a><\/strong>, after making submissions to the DA as to why she should not be suspended.
