Some financial analysts expect the negative attention to swing between Capitec and Viceroy for some time to come.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/ewn.co.za\/2018\/02\/01\/prosecutors-given-2-weeks-to-study-zuma-s-representations-on-avoiding-charges\">President Jacob Zuma has submitted new reasons why he should not be charged with fraud and corruption<\/a><\/strong>, and the NPA has been given 2 weeks to reach a conclusion on the matter. Zum&#8217;s lawyers delivered his representations at 9am on Wednesday night, 3 hours before the deadline.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeslive.co.za\/news\/south-africa\/2018-02-01-trillian-scored-r41m-from-transnet-for-doing-nothing\/\">The Times reports that the Gupta-linked Trillian was paid R41 million by Transnet for a proposal that was never implemented.<\/a><\/strong> The payment was reportedly signed off by\u00a0Transnet chairperson Linda Mabaso, whose son is a special advisor to\u00a0Mineral Resources Minister Mosebenzi Zwane.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>While Multichoice has admitted that &#8216;mistakes were made&#8217; in its dealing with the Gupta-linked ANN7, the company has cleared itself of any wrongdoing. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymaverick.co.za\/article\/2018-02-01-multichoice-and-ann7-so-many-questions-still-left-unanswered\/#.WnKquncjFTY\">However, many questions still remain, particularly around the group&#8217;s previous statements about the deal<\/a><\/strong>, and why the amount paid was so high and what happened with the money.
