{"id":222841,"date":"2018-02-02T12:11:44","date_gmt":"2018-02-02T10:11:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=222841"},"modified":"2018-02-02T12:11:44","modified_gmt":"2018-02-02T10:11:44","slug":"cape-town-water-crisis-is-affecting-the-value-of-homes-standard-bank","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/property\/222841\/cape-town-water-crisis-is-affecting-the-value-of-homes-standard-bank\/","title":{"rendered":"Cape Town water crisis is affecting the value of homes: Standard Bank"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Cape Town\u2019s water crisis is more than an inconvenience for home owners.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s also affecting the value of their property, which includes some of Africa\u2019s most expensive real estate, according to data from Standard Bank.<\/p>\n<p>House price inflation in the city, while still outstripping the rest of the country, slowed to 9.7% in the fourth quarter, from as high as 15% two years ago, Standard Bank economist Siphamandla Mkhwanazi said in a note Friday.
